Do You Remember the Elation of the Swing?
These pictures reminded me so much of being a kid and in love with the swing. Did you ever swing as high as you could and get to the point where for a fraction of a second you were in free fall? Then when I was a little older, I would swing higher and higher and then jump off and fly as far as I could. For a few moments you were just free... They had real swings at Wapato that mom would always take me to. That was where I learned how to "fly". I remember learning how to pump my legs to swing myself. Even that was a step toward freedom. The freedom to swing when I wanted to, without waiting on someone to push me. They don't really make swings like this anymore. But I have promised myself, someday I will have one for my kids.

This last picture of Olivia, isn't so much about the swing as it is about her lips. This is exactly the face she makes when she talks about mom and dad going to "HOO-WAII". I love the way she sticks her lips out to get the most of the "HOO"

I mean, Yes Carol, there is a post... Less than seven months later. I am trying to post more frequently for Johnny and Jenny's sake.

Mommas Together...
Olivia: We BOTH are Mommas! I am "momma-who-dances" and you are a "momma-who-gets-the-food". Yes, I am a dancing momma and you are a get-the-food momma.
Olivia thinks of herself as a momma because she takes such good care of all of her baby dolls. She has expanded her future plans.
Olivia: When I grow up I want to be a princess and a cheerleader AND a momma!
She has been praying for a baby thstithter for a while. Her daddy kept telling her that her dollies were her baby sisters. That worked for a few days and then Olivia modified her prayer request a bit. She started praying for (much to her daddy's chagrin) a "crying baby".
